Ultrasonic
welding is a kind of high technology for the use
to bond thermoplastic components without additional
additives, bonding agents or other assistants.
The many benefits of such technology include:
multiplying productivity, reducing cost and improving
product quality.
Ultrasonic welding joints plastics by rapidly
releasing high frequency signals of up to 20KHZ
(or 15KHZ) by a generator. Through a transducer,
these signals will be converted to mechanical
vibrations that will create friction between molecule
on the surface and inside. So the temperature
will boost up. When the temperature is enough
high to melt the plastics, the gap between the
plastic parts will be sealed permanently. Then
the vibration will stop, the parts will be cooled
under certain pressure to form perfect joint shape.
